Verizon Wireless today announced the availability of two new prepaid plans that don’t require contracts. The first plan costs $60 per month and includes unlimited voice minutes, unlimited messaging, and 500MB of data. The second plan costs $70 per month and boosts the data allotment to 2GB.
According to Verizon, the new prepaid plans can be used with a variety of 3G devices, such as Android, BlackBerry, and iOS smartphones. In Verizon’s press piece, it suggests that people can bring their own, older devices if they so wish, rather than purchase a new one.
The new plans are available beginning today.
