Sprint today announced that its LTE 4G network is now available in nine additional areas. The new markets, which were already named in Sprint’s LTE roadmap, include Columbus and Elkhart/Goshen, Ind., Hammond, La., Asheville and Statesville, N.C., Altoona, Pa., San Juan, Puerto Rico, Temple, Texas, and La Crosse, Wis. Sprint also expanded the availability of its LTE 4G network in San Germán, Yauco, Salinas and Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico.
Sprint’s LTE network is now up and running in 67 total markets, though many of them are smaller cities. Sprint is hoping to have LTE available in 150 markets by mid-year.
