Best Buy has begun accepting online and in-store pre-orders for the iPhone 4S. As with orders through Apple and its initial carrier partners, the retailer is promising availability on October 14th. One difference is the company’s trade-in program, through which people can get a gift card worth up to $300 with the sale of an old phone in good condition. The card can be used towards a 4S purchase.
In the United States, pre-orders for the 4S so far seem to be much slower than for the iPhone 4, which quickly became unavailable in the country until after its official launch date.
