Just for Japan, Sony has anveiled a new version of the UMD-equipped PSP-3000 to commemorate the launch of Monster Hunter game. The new version has gold-effect trim and related artwork. It has a slightly improved analog stick for a better feel and uses a higher-capacity 2,200mAh battery.
The Monster Hunter PSP won’t ship until January 12. It will cost the equivalent of $231. No signs have been given that it will officially exported to the US.
