Acer has done a teaser video to its tablets with a teaser video for the Iconia Tab A200. The promo clip uncovered by I Love Tablette aims for the same sentimental but practical approach as iPad 2 ads but unusually dwells on expansion. A family on a camping trip is touted as helping share memories with microSD cards and a USB port.
Very little else is mentioned about the tablet, although it has Acer Ring, a custom interface later that appears to be a substitute for or complement to the regular Android tablet task switcher with shortcuts as well as running app windows. Other than supporting talk of the A200 being a 10-inch tablet, the clip supports hints that the design might make up for the bulkiness of the A500 with an 0.28-inch thick frame.
Acer is most likely to have the new Iconia Tab running Android 3.2 or 4.0 by the time it’s unveiled. A video implies the tablet is close, but Acer may choose to wait until CES in January for a full reveal.
