Archie Comics has announced that Alex Segura has rejoined the company as Senior Vice President – Publicity and Marketing and Editor, Red Circle Comics.
In his new dual role, Segura will oversee the company’s external messaging in the press, social media and ongoing marketing initiatives while also managing the editorial side of the company’s Red Circle Comics superhero line, which includes legendary characters like The Shield, The Hangman and more. As Editor of Red Circle Comics, Segura will also spearhead talent outreach and plot the course for the imprint’s future direction and launches.
“We are hugely excited to have Alex back in the fold,” said Archie Comics Publisher/Co-CEO Jon Goldwater. “He’ll be be crucial in elevating how we get the word out about this company during a very important and exciting time and his experience, story sense and industry contacts make him the ideal person to lead Red Circle into the next phase of the imprint’s development.”

Segura comes to Archie after a stint with DC Entertainment, where he served as Executive Director, Publicity. Prior to DC, Segura was Archie’s Vice President of Publicity. Additionally, Segura is also a novelist and comic book writer, with the best-selling ARCHIE MEETS KISS comic series and his acclaimed first crime novel, Silent City, as credits.
