AMD has partnered with YouTube, C3 Presents and Dell to live stream two of the summer’s biggest music events — Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. The collaboration provides unprecedented digital access that’s the next best thing to actually being there and comes at a special time for each, with Lollapalooza celebrating its 20th year on August 5-7 and Austin City Limits marking its 10th anniversary on September 16-18.
Lollapalooza
YouTube’s live coverage of Lollapalooza begins August 5th from Grant Park in Chicago, IL. Three full days of live concert coverage featuring eight hours of content each day, from dozens of bands on multiple stages, will give unprecedented access to millions of music fans around the globe on the Lollapalooza YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/lollapalooza. Prior to the festival weekend, “Lollapalooza Week” will provide fans with behind the scenes footage, teaser videos, new content from bands, and shout outs from various artists, all accessible on YouTube.
Lollapalooza’s 20th anniversary festival will be led by Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse, My Morning Jacket, deadmau5, A Perfect Circle, Cee Lo Green, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley & Nas, The Cars and Ween, some of whom will be broadcast live on YouTube (artists line-up TBC early August).
Austin City Limits
YouTube will live stream Austin City Limits from Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, September 16-18 and similar interactivity will be available to music fans as Lollapalooza. Fans can tune into the ACL YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/aclfestival to catch all the action. The 10th Anniversary ACL Festival line-up includes Stevie Wonder, Arcade Fire, Kanye West, Coldplay, My Morning Jacket, Fleet Foxes, Alison Krauss and Union Station, Nas & Damian “Jr Gong” Marley and Cee Lo top the bill of the over 130 bands (live streamed artists TBC closer to date).
