Fans of Ransom Riggs’ best selling novel Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children already know what an important date September 3rd is. Set to star Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell, Chris O’Dowd, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Kim Dickens, Rupert Everett, Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children features an adapted screenplay by Jane Goldman.
When his beloved grandfather leaves him clues to a mystery that spans different worlds and times, Jake (Butterfield) finds a magical place known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. But the mystery and danger deepen as he gets to know the residents and learns about their special powers…and their powerful enemies. Ultimately, Jake discovers that only his own special “peculiarity” can save his new friends.
Ransom Riggs’ novel was published in 2011, followed in 2014 by a second book (in a planned trilogy), “Hollow City.”
Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping are producing the Tim Burton movie under the Chernin Entertainment banner. Look for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children to hit theaters March 4, 2016.
