Angelina Jolie is set to produce a film about legendary Native American athlete Jim Thorpe with both Todd Black and Steve Tisch also set to produce.
Martin Sensmeier will both executive produce and star as the world-renowned athlete who won two Olympic gold medals representing the United States while his citizenship went unrecognized during a period of cultural genocide for Native Americans.
He went on to become a baseball and football player, and eventually founded the organisation which became the NFL. Abraham Taylor is also on board to produce the project titled Bright Path: The Jim Thorpe Story. Taylor, Alex Nibley and Sterlin Harjo penned the original screenplay.
