Angourie Rice Boards Spider-Man: Homecoming

Australian actress Angourie Rice has joined the cast of Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios‘ Spider-Man: Homecoming, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Rice, who recently appeared opposite Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe in The Nice Guys, has been cast in an unknown role.

She joins Tom Holland, who reprises the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man has first played in Captain America: Civil War, as well as Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Michael Keaton as a mystery villain (believed to be the Vulture), Logan Marshall-Green as a secondary villain, Kenneth Choi as Peter’s high school Principal, and Zendaya as a character by the name of Michelle. There’s also mystery roles for Donald Glover, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier and Tony Revolori.

Scripted by Vacation writers and directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, Spider-Man: Homecoming will, according to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, feature characters from throughout the MCU.

Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently filming in Atlanta and will open in regular theaters and IMAX on July 7, 2017.
