Angry Birds Space is now live on the iTunes App Store. The standard version for $0.99 of the app is universal and will run on compatible iPhones, iPads ann iPod touch, while Rovio has also released an HD version for $2.99 on iTunes for the iPad only. Highlighting just how big Rovio have made it with its Angry Birds titles, the company teamed up with NASA to promote the launch of the new game.
In addition to using gravity, Rovio have built on the original game’s physics and play with both weightlessness and gravity this time around. Among the new gaming attractions, users will be able to use different types of gravity pulls, arcing around various space borne objects.
As with each of the subsequent titles in the series, there are new birds to experiment with as well as bonus levels hidden throughout the game. One levels of even taps into the social issue of cyberbullying. Users are also offered a range of new in-app purchases, which includes 30 levels included as part of the DANGER ZONE add-on. These are said by Roxio to be the most challenging it has yet created.
Angry Birds Space is also now live across multiple platforms including the Mac App Store, Windows, Google Play (Android), and Amazon (Android).
