Anne Rice announced on The Diner Party Show today that her next book will be a sequel to Queen of the Dammed, called Prince Lestat. According to the author, the book is the follow-up to the first five Vampire Chronicles.
Ms. Rice finished the book last year, and has kept it a secret due to her an agreement with her publisher. She said she revisited the earlier novels and then was inspired by the character Lestat to follow the story of the vampires into current times and examine his place in the heirarchy of the vampire kingdom.
Pre-sales for #PRINCELESTAT, a brand new chapter in the Vampire Chronicles, begin next Sunday, March 16th. The book will be released October 28th, 2014.
