Display technology company AOC in partnership with DisplayLink have announced the new AOC E1659FWU, a portable 16-inch display that receives both power and signal through a single USB 3.0 cable. Compatible with both Mac and PC, the USB 3.0 Monitor has a 15.6-inch viewing window that supports 1366×768 resolution at 60Hz.
The E1659FWU comes with its own monitor carry case for complete flexibility when traveling and easily fits in most notebook bags. The piano black portable monitor is 13mm thinner than the previous model and easily converts from landscape to portrait view with its foldable stand.
The display has a contrast ratio of 500:1, with a response time of 5ms. Power consumption peak is 7W. The display is Windows 7, Windows 8, and Max OS X compatible. A carrying case is included with purchase.
Set to ship in August, the E1659FWU monitor is now available for pre-sale at Amazon.com for $129.00
