Apple owes WiLan $145 million for violating the small company’s patents, says a jury in San Diego.
The company sued Apple over its use of wireless technology in some iPhones. The jury said Apple was guilty of violating two such patents and ordered Apple to pay restitution.
Apple has been the target of WiLan lawsuits before. In 2013, Apple was cleared of infringing different WiLan patents.
Apple said it will appeal the court’s latest decision.
