Apple today released iOS 10 Developer Beta 6 and iOS 10 Public Beta 5, fresh builds of the pre-release operating system for iPhones, iPads, and iPods.
The release notes suggest the update contains only bug fixes and other unspecified improvements. At nearly 2 GB, Apple recommends the developer beta be downloaded only over WiFi.
At around 100 MB, the public beta is much smaller. Apple typically updates the developer and public betas separately, so today’s double release suggests important fixes are contained within. The final version of iOS 10, which improves Siri, News, Music, and Photos, isn’t expected to arrive until September.
