Using the Mac App Store, Apple has released updates to the three apps in iLife ’11: GarageBand, iMovie and iPhoto. In each circumstance the updates address underlying bugs instead of adding new features. GarageBand 6.0.4 for instance fixes problems with the Lesson Store not finishing downloads, and tempo-based effects slipping out of sync with the main tempo. Magic GarageBand project files should open properly in the tracks view.
iMovie 9.0.4 deals with opening projects imported from iMovie for iOS, as well as an issue in which changes to audio aren’t kept. Performance is a major target of the update; it should, for instance, speed up the app when working with large numbers of keyworded clips. Likewise, the app should launch faster when operating with large iPhoto libraries.
In iPhoto 9.1.5 itself, using the contextual menu to delete content from a web album will no longer delete it from the library too. Date ranges for events properly reflect changes made with the Adjust Time and Date command, and crops are now undone correctly when using Revert to Original. Some other glitches fixed include ones with the Ken Burns effect in Classic slideshows and scrolling the Photos view when Event Titles are on.
