Archie Comics will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The publisher will release a commemorative one-shot comic called Sonic: Mega Drive on July 6.
The story will feature the blue blur, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose. Tyson Hesse created the cover art and Ian Flynn wrote the story.
Vincent Lovallo, the editor behind this project, gave this statement in the press release: “The goal was to produce a story that hardcore fans would love, but also feel fresh and new for anyone looking to read a Sonic comic for the first time. The result is Sonic: Mega Drive #1.”
