ASRock has announced that its flagship overclocking motherboards, the Z87 OC Formula and the Z87 OC Formula/ac, will come with a five-year warranty. These motherboards have been crafted to be the ultimate overclocking motherboards, therefore also being coated with a conformal coating to protect the motherboard from liquids.
“ASRock provides the five year warranty package as long as the malfunctions and defects occur under normal use conditions and aren’t caused by misuse or abnormal operations.” The actual terms and conditions may still vary by region, though.
Now if your motherboard breaks in a couple of years, and ASRock isn’t able to repair it anymore. ASRock will replace the product with an equivalent motherboard or one of a newer generation of products.
