During this week’s episode of the Persona 5 anime, Atlus surprise dropped the trailer for Persona Q2. The first Persona Q, subtitled Shadow of the Labyrinth, was a dungeon-crawler RPG like the Etrian Odyssey titles. The Persona Q2 didn’t show off any gameplay but introduced a new character and seems to revolve around a cinema-theme.
The fun thing about these Persona spinoffs is that officially they are all canon. So that means this is the first time we’ve seen the Persona 3 Portable female protagonist in a canon game since the PSP port of Persona 3 first came out back in 2006.
No word yet on a North American release date but considering that the Persona 3 and Persona 5 dancing games are getting a worldwide release, we should hear something soon. You can check out our Persona 5 guide for more info on Atlus‘ most recent JRPG.
