AT&T has finally released its belated Android 2.3 update to the Samsung . The handset was long overdue for the update, as it launched last May with Android 2.2 onboard. The new changes include a better copy and paste feature, a redesign for the software keyboard, a download manager for web downloads, and improved power and app management.
There are also three new fonts, a Flight Mode that replaces Silent, and widgets that get the content provider name included. The Traffic widget was also added along with Downloads and Google Books apps. Unfortunately, Angry Birds is removed if the user doesn’t separately own a copy, as the promo period for Rovio’s game has expired.
Users have to sideload the upgrade using a Kies sync.
