Today AT&T revealed it will begin shipping the Windows 8-powered ATIV Smart PC tablet on November 9, with pricing set at $800.
The 11.6-inch device runs a 1.5GHz, dual-core Intel Atom processor and has the full-blown operating system that’s found on desktop and notebook PCs. The tablet has 1366×768 resolution and has 64GB of flash storage space supplemented by a microSDHC memory card slot.
The OS can be upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and the tablet is also backwards-compatible with Windows 7, Vista, or XP. A trial version of Microsoft Office 2010 is preloaded as well.
AT&T will also offer two accessories for the tablet, including a $40 VGA adapter and $49 Stand Dock. Both arrive late in November, with the latter adding a USB port and an Ethernet jack, while the VGA adapter allows outputting to a VGA monitor from the tablet’s microHDMI port.
