Axiom Verge, the incredibly popular console game just got a PC release date. Developer Tom Happ announced the game, released for consoles at the end of March is going to be available for the PC on May 14. Even better for Axiom Verge fans is the apparent arrival of the title on the PS Vita shortly after that.
For those who haven’t played Axiom Verge yet, the story revolves around a scientist named Trace who suddenly finds himself awakened in an ancient but high tech world and he must find his way back to his home. As The Heavy points out; Axiom Verge has 60 different discoverable items as well as a number of powerups.
There is certainly combat in the game, but the point of the title is more about exploration than just fighting off as many enemies as possible. If you haven’t played the PS4 version yet, you should probably get your hands on the PC or Vita versions when they come out. The game has been very well received by gaming critics and even received a 5 out of 5 from Giant Bomb. That is the first time in two years any game on any platform has garnered that score.
The PC version is set to sell for $19.99, but there’s no arrival date or price for the PS Vita version.
