Bang & Olufsen’s 85-inch BeoVision 4-85 3D TV introduced last month has now been announced for the US. It carries a sticker of $85,000 but includes an integrated BeoLab 10 center channel speaker. This speaker uses B&O’s Acoustic Lens Technology to send out sound at a 180 degree angle.
The company’s first 3D TV uses a plasma screen that will self-adjust to counteract the effects of aging. The US model of the TV ships with a powered stand that will move the screen up when powered up. Electronic curtains that cover the screen are also drawn open at this time. The aluminum-framed screen will tilt at the press of a remote control’s button.
The BeoVision 4-85 ships in June. It will be offered without the speaker or motorized stand for less, though how much hasn’t been revealed. A larger, 103-inch version will also be available later this summer.
