Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed today that Batman: Return to Arkham, for Xbox One and Playstation 4, will launch July 26 for $49.99. The bundle remasters Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City for the current console generation.
The games will be remastered using the Unreal Engine 4, according to a press release from the studio. The remastered versions will give players the chance to play the first two Batman titles in the Arkham series, including both Game of the Year editions, and access to all additional downloadable content.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment said that Batman: Return to Arkham will also include improved graphics, along with upgraded models and environments. Players will also notice an improvement in the game’s lighting, effects and shaders.
Batman: Arkham Asylum, originally developed by Rocksteady Studios in 2009, took place in the iconic insane asylum that played home to some of DC Comic’s most notorious villains, including the Joker and Harley Quinn. Batman: Arkham City, the studio’s sequel to the game, was released in 2011 and took the villains outside the walls of the asylum, bringing mayhem to the streets of Gotham.
Batman: Return to Arkham will be available to play on the PS4 and Xbox One July 26.
