BenQ has added another projector to its 3D-capable range of devices. The W1500 can project a 1080p-resolution 3D video measuring 84 inches in size from as little as six feet away, and is said to be the first wireless projector to have a built-in 5GHz Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI), for uncompressed 1080p video from AV sources without HDMI cables.
Along with wirelessly playing video from various set-top boxes at a distance of up to 65 feet away, it is also able to connect with mobile devices and Apple TV, though it does have two HDMI inputs, as well as composite video and S-Video ports. Capable of a brightness of 2200ANSI lumens, the W1500 can display 1.07 billion colors, can project images between 40 inches and 300 inches in size, has a lamp life of up to 6,000 hours, and also has two 10-Watt speakers with SRS Wow audio processing. Pus it has support for Nvidia 3DTV Play, helping provide more accurate 3D for PC gaming.
BenQ is now shipping the W1500 FHD wireless projector at a cost of $2,300.
