The Bing team at Microsoft updated their free Bing search app for the iPhone and iPod Touch to version 1.3.
The biggest change is a revamping the travel features. Users can now find travel deals from their home airport and “look ahead” on a calendar to see when the best prices are available. Bing’s iPhone app now has a “Price Predictor” to advise users when fares may change, just like the desktop client. There is also a new “flight status” feature to warn of cancellations, delayed departures or early arrivals.
MS also simplifying maps and adding relevant business and neighborhood labels to help users quickly find locations. Labels and pushpins take the place of “layers” on the map, and business listings are in their own view.
