Bose has just unveiled its new, second generation over-the-ear headphones, the OE2 and OE2i. Both models are available in black and white with the main difference being the inline microphone for holding hands-free phone calls in the OE2i. Either gets an inline remote that can control basic functions such as volume and track navigation with the iPhone, iPod, iPad, and newer MacBooks.
Many of the controls also work with Android phones. Bose claims improved audio performance compared to the original 2008 OE headphones while making the design lighter and smaller overall than the original. The earcup ports have been redesigned for better balance and a more natural sound.
An OE2 set costs $150, while picking the OE2i costs $180.
