There is still a lot of mystery behind Brad (The Incredibles) Bird’s next movie Tomorrowland, co-written by Damon Lindelof and Jeff Jenson, but Walt Disney Pictures has picked “Under the Dome” actress Britt Robertson to play the lead role.
Robertson will play “a high school girl with an unconventional understanding of technology is launched on a journey to reclaim her future,” as she joins the already-announced cast of George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy and Thomas Robinson.
The film is scheduled to open in theaters on December 12, 2014.
The 23-year-old actress is also appearing opposite Vince Vaughn in DreamWorks’ Delivery Man, which is being marketed and distributed by Disney and has just been moved back to November 22 of this year. She plays Angie McAllister on the hit CBS drama “Under the Dome,” based on Stephen King’s novel, and previously starred in “The Secret Circle.”
