One of the revealings this year at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit is Buick’s Avista concept.
“It’s a compact crossover; it fits right between our Encore and our Enclave in the Buick showroom,” says Lloyd Beerman, a product specialist with Buick. He says the Avista should hit the roads sometime this summer.
The iconic brand recently went through a transformation that many would say is obvious even to the casual observer, as pointed out in many of the brand’s recent commercials.
“It all began when we did the Enclave in 2007,” Beerman says. “That really started the Buick renaissance, if you will, and the products that we’ve seen after the Enclave, with the Enclave, with the Encore, with the new LaCrosse, with the Regal, with the Cascada that we’ve got coming out in the showrooms in February, there’s a lot of new, great product coming out for Buick.”
The NAIAS opened to the media Monday, January 11. It opens to the public this weekend.
