For those who missed the endearing, quirky, sharp Elsbeth Tascioni on the last season of “The Good Wife,” let your hearts be light: Carrie Preston will have a guest arc on the CBS All Access spinoff “The Good Fight.”
“The Good Fight” will focus on fan favorites Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) and Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski), as Diane and her mentee (Rose Leslie) join Lucca at a big Chicago firm after being ousted from Lockhart & Lee thanks to a devastating financial scam. The series will also return Gary Cole, Sarah Steele, Jerry Adler, and Zach Grenier, and bring in newbies like Justin Bartha, who will play supremely eligible bachelor Colin, a rising star at the state attorney’s office. Delroy Lindo, Paul Guilfoyle, Bernadette Peters, and Erica Tazel also star.
“The Good Fight” is set to premiere on Feb. 19 on CBS and CBS All Access; subsequent episodes will debut exclusively on Sundays on All Access, the Eye’s $5.99-a-month subscription streaming service. “The Good Wife” creators Robert and Michelle King are exec producers and showrunners of “The Good Fight.” Phil Alden Robinson co-wrote and exec produced the premiere episode with the Kings. Ridley Scott, David Zucker, Liz Glotzer, Brooke Kennedy, and Alison Cross are also exec producers. Kennedy directed the premiere episode.
