Chadwick Boseman, star of the recent hit 42, is negotiating to star opposite Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner, Frank Langella, Denis Leary and Ellen Burstyn in Ivan Reitman’s upcoming Draft Day, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter.
The Paramount Pictures football comedy arrives from Rajiv Joseph and Scott Rothman and centers around the NFL’s draft and sees the general manager of the Cleveland Browns going to any length to secure his top pick.
Boseman would play a Louisiana linebacker in what is said to be a supporting but vital role.
Reitman, who will also produce through The Montecito Picture Company, last directed 2011’s No Strings Attached, also for Paramount.
