Charlie Sheen has inked a deal with Lionsgate Television for a new sitcom, reports radaronline.com. According to a source to the website, Sheen’s character will be similar to the one he played on “Two and a Half Men” but a lot racier.
The source adds the broadcast and cable networks are in a bidding war for the show, with TBS being the frontrunner. Lionsgate Television, which reportedly would produce the sitcom, is committed to 10 episodes with the option to pick up and produce 90 more episodes, depending on ratings. Additionally, Lionsgate Television is supposedly planning to release Sheen’s nationwide live stage performances, “My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option,” shows. But details haven’t been provided.
