Nintendo has been upping the ante for Wii U by releasing several new appealing bundle options. A limited edition The Legend of Wii U bundle launched in North America last week for $299.99. It consists of a black Deluxe Wii U console, a GamePad, The Wind Waker HD download code and a digital copy of Hyrule Historia.
For the Japanese market, Nintendo is bundling New Super Mario Bros. U, Wii Party U and Wii Fit U with the Wii U in a package that launches Oct. 31 for 34,800 yen ($352) in Japan, according to its website, which lists another package that omits Wii Fit U for 32, 800 yen ($320).
For 34,800 yen ($352), the Wii Fit U bundle includes a 32GB Wii U console, New Super Mario Bros. U, Wii Party U and Wii Fit U, sensor bar, Fit Meter, Wiimote. It does not include the Wii U Balance Board. The 32,800 yen ($320) bundle includes a 32GB Wii U console, New Super Mario Bros. U, Wii Party U, sensor bar and Wiimote.
The bundles offer the choice of white or black Wii U models and software comes preinstalled with each package. Both bundles include a 30 day subscription to Wii Karaoke U by Joysound. The free application was announced for Japan last year. Players purchase karaoke time in blocks of 24 hours for 100 yen, 30 days for 1,000 yen to 2,000 yen for 90 days. The app launched in Europe via the Nintendo eShop on Oct. 4.
