With the first season of the hit series “Penny Dreadful” set to hit Blu-ray on October 14, Showtime is already whetting our appetite for Season Two with a new teaser trailer that promises more occult mayhem and plenty of blood.
With series stars Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Eva Green, Helen McCrory and Simon Russell Beale returning, along with new cast members Sarah Greene, Jonny Beauchamp, Douglas Hodge and Patti Lupone, “Penny Dreadful” is currently in production on its expanded 10-episode second season in Dublin, Ireland for a 2015 launch.
Created by screenwriter and playwright John Logan and executive produced by Logan and his Skyfall director Sam Mendes, “Penny Dreadful” drew 4.8 million weekly viewers across platforms since its first season launch in May of this year.
