Paramount Pictures has set a December 25, 2013 release date for Thor director Kenneth Branagh’s Jack Ryan, starring Chris Pine (Star Trek), Kevin Costner, Keira Knightley and Branagh himself.
The other movies scheduled for that date are Universal’s 47 Ronin, starring Keanu Reeves, and Ben Stiller’s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
Pine will play the Tom Clancy character, which has previously appeared in the novel-to-screen adaptations The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger and The Sum of All Fears.
