It’s official: Christina Aguilera is returning as a judge to “The Voice.” NBC has confirmed what has long been rumored: The Grammy Award-winning pop star will join fellow returning judges Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams in the red swivel chairs come February for Season 10 of the Emmy-winning reality competition series.
“The coaches on ‘The Voice’ continue to bring incredible energy, unrivaled musical expertise and a want-to-win attitude that makes for the perfect ingredients of a two-time Emmy-winning show,” said Paul Telegdy, president of late-night and alternative programming for NBC Entertainment. “We can’t wait to see what Season 10 will bring.”
Season Nine of “The Voice” is currently airing Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC and features Gwen Stefani as well as Levine, Shelton and Williams. Still a ratings powerhouse, it is averaging a 3.5 rating, 11 share in adults 18-49 and 12.6 million viewers overall, according to “live plus same day” viewership results from Nielsen Media Research.
