NBC may not picked up Downwardly Mobile star Roseanne Barr but that is not going to Comedy Central from honoring her.
The Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne will record the program on Saturday, August 4 in Los Angeles and broadcast it on Sunday, August 12 on Comedy Central.
Each year, the cable network selects a worthy celebrity to be honored on their show by getting roasted by their celebrity friends.
Since its 2003 debut, Comedy Central has roasted celebrities Denis Leary, Jeff Foxworthy, Pamela Anderson, William Shatner, Flavor Flav, Bob Saget, Larry the Cable Guy, Joan Rivers, David Hasselhoff, Donald Trump and Charlie Sheen.
The special on Sheen drew a franchise record of 6.4 million viewers.
