The PlayStation 3 version of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will support cross-platform play, allowing PS3 players to challenge PC and Mac users. To make this match-up fair, PS3 players have the option of using Move controllers or keyboard and mouse.
Regardless of which version of CS: GO you play, there will be official Valve servers available though all players are free to host their own games as well. If you want to use CS: GO’s match-making feature, you’ll only be paired up with players using official servers.
As of now, CS: GO has five maps for Bomb/Defuse and two maps for Hostage Rescue. All maps for those modes are taken from the original Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be released through PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and Steam in early 2012. Beta testing for Global Offensive begins this October.
