Crysis 3 is the first 2013 release to hold top spot in the UK charts. Despite a 43 percent dip in sales this week, Crytek’s sci-fi shooter leads the pack again. As for last week’s runner-up, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance drops a place to No 3 after a 60 percent fall in sales, while soccer stalwart FIFA 13 nudges ahead of it into second place.
With no major new releases, this week’s charts paint a familiar, almost serene picture. Aliens: Colonial Marines and Dead Space 3 only suffer slight drops to make it three and four weeks respectively in the top ten, while lower down the charts Ni no Kuni shows it’s still got life in its JRPG veins by returning to the top 40 in 25th spot.
