Since the next James Bond film appears to be on hold, Daniel Craig has filled the hole in his schedule already, he will star as a detective in the contemporary murder mystery feature Knives Out which will start film shortly.
The project is Looper director Rian Johnson’s first film since Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Johnson will with both helm and scribe the film which is a classic whodunit style flick. Johnson has been a huge Agatha Christie fan for years and he’s been writing this, his own version of a locked door mansion murder mystery, for over a decade.
U.S. and foreign distributors will be bidding on the project at the Toronto International Film Festival this week with buyers receiving the script last night. Johnson and Ram Bergman will produce while they launch a new company with the help of CAA Media Finance and FilmNation
Johnson to shoot the film before he gets to work a new trilogy of films in the Star Wars universe.
