With no explanation given, actor Daniel Craig has abruptly dropped out of the courtroom drama The Whole Truth a little over a week before the movie was to begin production in Boston.
Craig’s departure leaves the producers, Atlas Entertainment and Likely Story, looking for a new leading man for the movie, which also stars Renee Zellweger and Gabriel Basso and had other actors like Danny Huston in talks for a role.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the production has been pushed back three weeks to look for another actor to play the district attorney role vacated by Craig. The movie is being directed by Frozen River‘s Courtney Hunt from a script by Nicholas Kazan with Atlas’ Richard Suckle producing.
