Danny DeVito has lined up a new directing project titled Honeymoon With Dad, Variety reports. The indie comedy is set up at Tapestry Films and Reel FX Creative Studios and follows a young man who, after being left at the altar, winds up going on his would-be honeymoon with his father.
It’s not said whether or not DeVito is interested in starring, though the actor has appeared in several of his own directorial efforts such as Throw Momma From the Train, War of the Roses and Death to Smoochy.
In addition to starring on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” (which launches its eighth season this week on FX), DeVito recently voice the title character in Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s The Lorax.
