It appears there were plenty of video game players up to the steep challenge presented by Dark Souls.
The demanding role-playing game has topped 1.1 million in sales in the U.S. and Europe since its arrival last October, publisher Namco Bandai revealed in its fiscal year earnings report.
Not bad for a game that prides itself on presenting a brutal challenge to its players.
Dark Souls features a knight battling an array of difficult opponents, and requires players to stay patient and carefully strategize before attacking.
