We first question the the launch date a few days ago, well today THQ announced it will delay the release of action game Darksiders II to ensure it meets “the high-quality bar the team is targeting.”
According to a post written on the game’s official website from studio Vigil Games, Darksiders II won’t launch in June as expected so developers can continue to polish the game.
“In game development, more time is always a good thing for quality, and the Vigil team is dedicated to providing the definitive Darksiders experience,” reads the statement.
THQ does not offer a specific date in August when Darksiders II will debut.
The game stars one of the Four Horseman, Death, as he tries to clear the name of brother War, who kicks off the apocalypse early in the series’ first game.
Darksiders II features mechanics similar to a God of War or Devil May Cry, but also incorporates an experience system where players grow more powerful and unlock new gear.
