One of the biggest selling points of DC’s Convergence event next spring will be the fact that it brings back many characters from the company’s pre-New 52 history. So far the publisher has revealed half of the 40 two-issue mini-series that will tie into the main Convergence book. Today DC is shedding light on the next batch of ten books.
Whereas the first batch of 10 mini-series revolved around characters and storylines from DC’s recent past, and the second batch focused on the DCU as it was in the early ’90s, this latest batch turns the clock back even further to 1980’s-era DC and the period before Crisis on Infinite Earths revamped DC’s continuity. It seems that we can look forward to the return of teams like Justice League Detroit and the New Teen Titans, as well as retro-flavored versions of Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern.
