Ryan Reynolds has confirmed a third Deadpool is in the works and this time it’s at Marvel Studios.
Appearing on a holiday edition of Live With Kelly and Ryan, Reynolds tells Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest that his character is returning:
“We’re working on it right now with the whole team. We’re over at Marvel, which is the big leagues all of a sudden. It’s kind of crazy. So yeah, we’re working on it.”
Deadpool’s movie rights were owned by 20th Century Fox, but the merc with a mouth the returned to Marvel studio fold once Disney’s $71.3 billion Fox acquisition closed in March
Kevin Feige and Disney CEO Bob Iger have previously expressed a willingness for the films to remain R-rated.
