Dell is jumping on the trend for high-resolution curved displays, with the manufacturer’s first curved monitor. The UltraSharp 34-inch monitor, model U3415W, has a high 3440×1440 resolution as well as a 21:9 cinema-style aspect ratio, with Dell said to be aiming the screen towards gamers and typical purchasers of its Alienware desktop systems.
The screens include HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort, and Mini DisplayPort connectivity according to Slashgear, along with MHL support. Sitting on adjustable stands, the displays also incorporate stereo 9-Watt speakers, as well as a relatively slim bezel for those preferring multi-display desktop layouts, minimizing the distance between the two or more viewable areas.
Dell is aiming to ship the UltraSharp 34-inch Monitor in China from November, with a global release slated for December, though pricing for the display has yet to be revealed.
