Video game publisher Electronic Arts continues its push into the sports bar business.
The company has partnered with the hotel Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on the EA Sports Bar, which now open.
The bar features stations with PlayStation 3 consoles running EA Sports titles such as FIFA 12, Madden NFL 12 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13.
“We’re changing the way fans are connecting and playing with our games,” says Christopher Erb, vice president of EA Sports Brand Marketing, in a statement. “This opportunity with the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas demonstrates the social and immersive experiences our games provide to consumers on multiple platforms anytime, anywhere.”
Patrons can cozy up on leather sofas or pull up a seat at the bar, which features six, wall-mounted 70″ high-definition TV sets. EA will also sell apparel, gift items and the latest sports video games.
The video game publisher has launched similar establishments aboard Carnival Cruise ships. Check out their website for a sampling.
