“The Office” star Ellie Kemper is the latest name to join the cast of Columbia Pictures’ upcoming comedy Sex Tape. She’s set to play the role of Tess opposite Jason Segel, Cameron Diaz, Rob Corddry and Rob Lowe.
Diaz and Segel star as Annie and Jay, young parents who take advantage of a rare night to themselves to make a video to spice up a physical relationship that they fear ain’t what it used to be. But after their private footage is accidentally synched to a handful of other devices (including her mother’s and the mailman’s) they embark on a raucous quest to retrieve them.
Directed by Jake Kasdan, Sex Tape features an original screenplay by Kate Angelo with revisions by Segel, Nicholas Stoller and Jake Kasdan.
Kemper, whose big screen credits include 21 Jump Street, Bridesmaids and Somewhere, can next be seen in Lynn Shelton’s Laggies.
Sex Tape is produced by Escape Artists Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch. Executive Producers are David Householter, David Bloomfield, Jake Kasdan and Jason Segel.
