A newsletter sent to StitchKingdom announced the game, saying that it would release across multiple platforms and add co-operative play.
The adventure will see players pairing up as Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, who has the power to fly like a helicopter and use electricity.
Details of the sequel have since been removed from the website.
The first mention of Epic Mickey 2 appeared last summer, with a number of potential titles listed for the sequel.
Released as a Nintendo Wii exclusive in late 2010, Epic Mickey saw the Disney mascot escape a wasteland inspired by scrapped cartoons and former Disneyland rides.
